The Mindfulness Mourning Book Club offers a compassionate and supportive space for meaningful conversations about grief, loss, healing, and learning to carry forward the people, memories, and experiences that remain part of our lives.
Through thoughtfully selected books and guided discussions, we explore the many ways grief shapes us, while discovering how connection, reflection, and shared stories can provide comfort, insight, and healing. Together, we create a community where experiences are honoured, perspectives are shared, and each person's journey is met with understanding and care.

Book Club FAQs
⯈ Why a book club about grief & mindfulness?
Books create a unique opportunity to explore difficult topics through stories, ideas, and shared experiences. They help us feel seen, spark meaningful conversations, and remind us that many of the questions we carry through grief are part of the shared human experience.
⯈ Do I need to be experiencing grief or loss to join?
No. While many participants may be navigating grief or loss, the book club is open to anyone interested in exploring themes of loss, healing, resilience, meaning, and personal growth.
⯈ Will I be expected to share personal experiences?
Not at all. Sharing is always optional. Participants are welcome to contribute to discussions or simply listen and reflect.
⯈ Do I need to read the entire book before attending?
We encourage participants to read the selected book, but perfection isn't required. The goal is thoughtful conversation, not homework.
⯈ Is this a grief support group or therapy group?
No. The Mindfulness Mourning Book Club is an educational and community-based discussion group. It is not group therapy, counselling, or a clinical support program.
⯈ How often will the book club meet?
The book club is planned as an ongoing series featuring carefully selected books throughout the year. Specific dates and schedules will be shared with those on the waitlist.
⯈ Will meetings be in person or virtual?
